CSE550 - Multicultural Education
Assignment: Either as a small group or individually, report to the class
on a praxis aspect of multiculturalism. The report should incorporate the
theoretical work that is covered in this course. (Spring 2004)
Project: I joined three other women to form a small group. We created a powerpoint
presentation titled
"Relationship between Mass Media's Portrayal of the Female Body and Eating Disorders.
How Girls are Affected - A Multicultural Approach." We divided the project into
four sections. I was responsible for obtaining information and presenting on how women
from different cultures are
affected by mass media's message of what the perfect female body should be, slides
19-33. The other members of the group sent me their slides and I consolidated them into one
powerpoint presentation.
