Scene: My husband's last assignment in the U.S. Air Force was as the Professor of
Aerospace studies at the Florida State University. The existing detachment's website had been a medley
of work from staff and student cadets that had come and gone at the detachment. It was
decided to upgrade the look and make it more consistent with the unit. (2000)
Result: I was within a class of finishing up the webmaster curriculum. To become certified,
I was required to design, create and implement a live website meeting all the criteria set
forth by WebYoda, Inc. (Yes, that is the real name). Again, opportunity came knocking.
My husband and I storyboarded the *flow* of the site. The colors were somewhat predetermined, blue
for the Air Force and garnet and gold for FSU. But I had control over hues of colors, fonts,
images and layout.
The current AFROTC site has been slightly altered by another webmaster, but my work is still
archived at: www.fsu.edu/~rotc/certification.
