Media Bias.: IT576 - Advanced Interactive Multimedia for Instruction Media Bias

Assignment: The final project specifications were to integrate digital video, digital photographs, and Macromedia Flash to produce an online educational presentation. (Summer 2004)

Project: This was the third course I had taken where multimedia was the preferred medium for the class projects. Therefore, I wanted to do something a little different. I didn't want to just show that I knew my way around a digital camcorder, a digital camera, PhotoShop, and Flash but that I could use them to produce an educational unit. This was the Summer of 2004, the U.S. was in the middle of the Presidential campaign and it was becoming obvious that mass media was presenting the same stories but with very different slants. My final project would demonstrate how, even in the hands of a novice as myself, video, audio, and images could be edited in such a way as to present two very different messages.
