Scene: We moved to Knoxville in October of 2000 and within several months I transferred
my Sweet Adeline membership from Tallahassee, FL to Tennessee to sing with the Smoky
Mountain Harmony Show Chorus. The chorus was only a year old but had already won a regional
contest and was preparing for International competition. The following year, I enlisted two
fellow employees at UT in joining the chorus, Cyndy Edmonds and Rhonda Spearman. The old
website was outdated and the chorus director felt that, as a winning chorus, we needed an
upgrade.
Result: Cyndy and Rhonda were the
designers and creators of the new website. Rhonda concentrated on the flow and content. When it became
necessary for them to leave the chorus, I volunteered to maintain it. Cyndy transfered all the
files to me and the rest is history. It has been two years and I believe I have maintained
the original look and feel. I added a *members only* section that is password protected
and the ability to order items using PayPal.
